The Challenge

Having a major entrenched enterprise and solution architecture practice, this organisation sought to take their architecture practice effectiveness and value to the next level. In order to achieve this, our client wanted to adopt a recognised architecture framework and uplift skills and capabilities across the entire architecture practice.

Our Solution

First we conducted a complete end to end architecture effectiveness and maturity assessment of this iconic organisation. Involving structured interviews of business and IT stakeholders organisation wide, we used these findings to not only document recommendations for improving architecture effectiveness – but used this understanding of our clients environment to influence the content and delivery of customised TOGAF training .

Their Outcome

We were able to identify a number of positive facets of the existing architecture practice for our client – as well as a number of material short, medium and long term opportunities for improvement. Through our delivery of customised TOGAF training and certification testing, the architecture practice are now TOGAF certified and this newfound awareness has resulted in consistency of expectation and a program of ongoing improvements in their architecture operating model.
